Finally some pictures of Trig

This is Trig after his surgery. When the kids came in and saw him they said it looked like he had a life jacket on. So that is what we called it...his little life jacket. He had a nurse named Peggy for a few days in a row right after his surgery. She was so awesome, and took such good care of him. She always made sure his hair was done so handsome. I would have to say he is one cute little guy!

This is my favorite picture.

Right underneath his "life jacket" is a piece of...I can't remember what they called it but essentially it is a piece of sterile plastic that they sew to his skin and you can see his heart right through it.

This is a picture of the day that they closed Trig's chest. Now he just has the one bandage covering his stitches...and still lots of tubes.

Keith and I think that these pictures with his eyes open and swelling gone down looks like a completely different baby.

HALLOWEEN!

Sophie and Sam got to go trick or treating with the patients for Halloween. They each made out with a bag completely full of treats and toys. I'm sure it is a Halloween they will never forget.

VAMPIRE and SNOW PRINCESS

Here is our little bee... he looks like he weighs about 20 pounds.

Here they are all together. I can't believe I have three kids...how fun! I can't wait to get home and be able to enjoy them all together.

  1. Jamie your kids look darling for Halloween, and I too bet it's one they'll never forget. Trig does look like a totally different baby with his eyes open, not as much like Sam, but you can still tell he's part of the family. It's so good to see him with his eyes open. Aren't nurses wonderful? :)... Or at least some of them. They can make a world of difference. I think they definetly determine the experience you have in the hospital. And some make you feel so much more secure. I'm glad Trig had a good one these past few days, he did look very handsome. He deserves the best. Again, call if you need anything. We'll keep praying.

  2. It's so hard to see him with all the tubes, but at least he's okay. I'm so thankful for that. Soon enough he'll be at home in his bed. You all will. We love you! And Happy Halloween. I'm glad that he and Melly could match.

  3. What a relief it is to see Trig making such good progress. It's still hard to see tubes and equipment "hooked" to such a tiny baby, but it seems like it's less and less everyday. Our thoughts and prayers are still with you that he'll continue to steadily improve until you can all be home together, healthy, happy, and at peace. We love you.

  5. Wow, I can't believe how different he looks with his eyes open and the swelling gone. The fist picture is also my favorite, his color looks sooo good. They kids look cute in their costumes. You will have to tell Sam that his Aunt Veronica was a vampire too. I did not take a picture or I show him. We love and miss you guys.
