Monday Update

This is Trig before he got his oxygen tube taken out.
This was Thursday, the day that I finally got to the hospital. When I walked in the nurse asked me if I wanted to hold him. I completely lost it because I didn't think that I would be able to hold him for several days. It was so great finally having him in my arms!!

Proud Big Sister
This is after he got his breathing tube out and you can actually see his face. Is he cute or what! I love his little nose.

Here is the whole fam, the only problem is you can't really see Trig with all the cords and blankets.

This is the first time that we gave Trig his binkie. At times it made me sad because he would suck on it so hard like he was trying to get something out of it. I can't wait until I can actually feed him.

This picture was taken right before he went in for surgery.

Here is a new update. Trig is in for surgery as I type. he went in @ 9:00 a.m. and they told us it would take between 5-7 hours. So Jamie and I are waiting patiently and nervously. Jmaie and I have got to get a lot of "holding Trig" time in the last few days. They told us to get it in before surgery since it would be several days before we could hold him in. They took his oxygen tubes out a couple of days ago and was off all but one medicine before surgery. After surgery he will have all of them in, and many more, all over again. We have appreciated all of the support and visits. And especially the fasting everyone has done in Trigs behalf, including our ward who held a fast also. Thank you, that means so much Jamie and I were tearfully grateful when we heard how many people have been fasting and praying in Trig's behalf. We feel extremely calm and confident about the surgery today and know it is beacuase of all of the prayers. Today we have asked that all of Trig's family and friends wait to come visit until later in the week, but Jamie and I would love visits, which we have felt loved with all of the visits so far. The hospital as expressed that we pass on the word that all sick visitors wait till you are well to visit. Thanks again for all of everyones support. Jamie said she will be back on the "Blog" duties when everything settles down. On Saturday I took the kids to the zoo to help pass time by for them, so I have included some pics of that also.
