Well, this is Jamie. First I just want to thank everyone for their love and support! It is amazing how many blessings we have already recieved through this experience. Little Trig is doing well today. All of his vital signs and things are looking great so we are more than happy about that. They will hopefully close his chest on Thursday but we will just keep everyone posted. I did caption some of the pictures that Keith put on so that you know what they are more. Thanks again for all the prayers and support!!

  1. Hi, I found your blog and wanted to post a note about congenital heart defects.

My son Jacob is 18 months old now and was born with the same heart defect as Trig: Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA). We did not know before he was born and he also had to be emergency transfered to Primary Children's Medical Center. He had his Arterial Switch operation by Dr. Kouretas when he was 5 days old.

I am part of a local non-profit support group called Intermountain Healing Hearts. I do not know if anyone there at Primary's has talked to you about our group. We have over 130 families with children who have various CHD and even some CHD adults in the group! What a blessing it has been to be able to talk with and ask questions of other “heart families” who truly understand what your family is going through.

    The group website is: www.IntermountainHealingHearts.org
We also have a Yahoo group for email exchange.

We would love to have you join our group. Please let me know if we can be of help to your family in anyway.

  5. Jamie - I'm so glad I have a way to be updated on Trig's condition without calling. Not that I wouldn't love to talk to you, but I'm sure you're overwhelmed with calls. I'm glad to hear he did well through the surgery. Give him a kiss for me, he's too cute and I want to squish and kiss him. Hope you, Keith and the kids are doing well. Let me know if you need me to come get your kids, even if it's just for couple hours so they (and you) can get a break. Love ya!

  6. Jamie Blake, Oakley, and I are all so glad to hear that Trig is doing better. I am so sorry that I haven't reached you sooner, I didn't have any #'s. We are here if you need any help with the kids or anything else. I really hope that everything continues to go well. Just know that everyone is here for you and love you all, let us know if we can do anything at all. Trig is adorable, I can't wait to see him in person. Please let us know when we can come up and visit. You are all in our prayers! Love, the Peterson family
