IHH Heart Walk

On Saturday we had the chance to be involved in the Intermountain Healing Hearts Walk. It was a walk to help spread awareness of CHD's (congenital heart defects) and also raise money for Intermountain Healing Hearts which is a support group for those with CHD's. Even though Trig is healthy and doing great it has been so neat to be able to meet some amazing families that are going through so much!! At the end of the walk they had a ceremony to honor all the children that have lost their battles with CHD's. Each family released a butterfly in honor of their child. It was so emotional!

And the race begins! We were so busy taking pictures throughout the walk that I think we were about the second to last people to finish.

Sam loves his shirt he wore it all day Saturday and Sunday (except for church)!

Trig enjoyed his walk in the stroller. He was acting so silly!

There were over 500 people that attended the walk. It doubled from last year. Thanks Mom for coming with us. My Mom didn't make it in any of the pictures because she was always the picture taker. I wish that I would have gotten one with her and the kids!

This is a picture of the butterfly release.

  1. Oh Man that makes me cry just reading it. I'm so glad that little Triggy is one that won the fight. He is so BEAUTIFUL. Whether Keith wants me to call him that or not.

  3. Yay for pictures! I was sad that we were not able to make it to the heart walk and catch up with so many other heart friends! Maybe next year. I love Trig's expressions! Darling!
