Coming Home????

This is the first time that Sam and Sophie were able to hold Trig. They were both very excited!

Trig's first bottle. He actually did very well. I remember with Sophie and Sam they both choked and gagged on their bottles but Trig thought it was delicious! He still is not able to drink the whole thing and since the Dr.'s want him to gain weight we have to give the rest of it to him through the yellow feeding tube.

Keith actually put these pictures on. I will have to add a few more, but this is of Sophie and Sam at the Children's Museum. They thought the fish were pretty cool. They went grocery shopping for them. We had a good time.

This is Dr. Kaza. (He actually likes to be called A.K. instead of Dr. Kaza) He was Trig's surgeon. He is such a wonderful guy!! Always asking how we are doing and what he can do for us...I'm like well, you saved my sons life so I think you have done enough!!!

Well, we got word yesterday that we are probably coming home tomorrow. Yeah!! Things could always change and I won't actually believe that we are going home until we are in the car but that is the word that the Dr. gave us again today. I can't believe how quickly Trig has improved. I know it is from all the prayers for him. Thanks to everyone!! I am actually updating this today which is Monday...the day we were supposed to come home. Well, we are not coming home today but they said we will tomorrow. Like I said before I will believe it when we are in the car driving home. I can't wait to be home!!! In the past 3 weeks I have been there a total of 2 hours. It will be so nice to be able to start taking care of things again. Especially Sophie and Sam!! Thanks to everyone that has helped so much with them...you are all lifesavers!! Here are some new pics also.

  3. That is totally cool, it gives me chills to think it. I was expecting at least another month at the soonest. I can't wait to get to hold him myself as I am sure you guys do. Let alone get to have him all to yourself.

  6. Jamie,

I have just spent the last hour or so reading all of your posts since Trig was born. I can't believe all that you have gone through, and am so glad to hear that he is finally going to be going home with you soon. I'm also so glad to hear that you were able to spend so much time with him at the hospital. I feel so bad when we have babies in our NICU whose parents never come to visit. There are several that I would have gladly taken home with me, so it is so nice to hear that Trig will be well taken care of when he goes home with you guys. Take care, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
