I just wanted to update everyone on Trig's progress. Yesterday, he got his main chest tube out and also a smaller tube out that helps fluid drain off his chest. They might have to put the small tube back in because it was clogged and they didn't know it until they removed it. Hopefully they won't have to put it back in. They did a spontaneous breathing trial today for 1 hour and he was able to breath on his own the whole time so they might be able to take the breathing tube out tomorrow. He seems to be making progress, it is slow, but at least he is going forward and not backward. One of the nurses told us that he is not on the fast track to recovery but that he is still improving so we are happy about that. If anyone would like to come up and visit we would love some visitors. Trig can have short visits also. Thanks to everyone for all of your prayers and support.
Hi Jamie, you new little one is so beautiful. We pray for your family daily. Hope all is well. By the way, your sunbeams are doing great! They miss you and can't wait until you get back.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like he doing well. To me who of course is clueless losing all the tubes is a big step. Good luck with it all.
